There comes a time in everyone’s
life when they feel that they are called to do something more; be something more. My
time is now.
Those of you who know me well, know
that when I am passionate about a cause that I give it my full devotion. I’ve
known for some time that God was calling me to do more than serve as a Sunday school teacher.
But I was unclear as to where that call would lead me. After reading about
the children of Uganda, I knew exactly what I needed to do! There is a
child, 8000 miles away, and I hear his cry. His cry for love. His cry for acceptance. His cry for peace.
This November, missionaries from the
McKinney Fellowship Bible Church will travel to the Village of Hope Orphanage in Africa.
On this trip we will minister to orphans rescued out of the LRA. But as
I am sure you can imagine, mission trips are not free and the are not cheap.
It is my goal to raise $4500 to cover
the cost of this mission trip. I know that if this is truly to be that the Lord
will bless my efforts and allow those who are able to give to do so.
If you have found your way to this
site, I pray that the mission inspires you to give and encourage others to give. And
if you are not able to give, I ask for your prayers.
